Here’s a simple list of other things that I either have seen and love, or haven’t yet seen, but want to. Typically, they come from various folks who I think have great taste. I’ve previously created a simple list of movies that I want to watch, thanks to the outstanding film critic, Sonny Bunch.

TV Series I’ve loved:

  • Band of Brothers – I watch this again every year or two. The production values are outstanding, the story is meaningful, the plot is engaging, the characters are accessible.
  • The Americans & Comrade Detective – I enjoy the story and the underlying plot.
  • Law and Order – The original series, all twenty years of it. I like that the focus of each episode is centered upon a moral issue. Instead of crime shows which focus on determining who is guilty, it focuses on whether they are guilty.
  • The Last Kingdom – A fictional tale set in 8th or 9th century England.
  • The Thick of It & Yes, Minister
  • Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and Treadstone

Series I want to See

  • The Marvelous Mrs Maise
  • Ordeal By Innocence
  • Broadchurch
