I think that Tyler Cowen is right here when he says:

Those three areas are:

1. The history of the British Isles

2. The history of the Jews, and

3. The history of World War II

Three areas where you never run out of great books to read

I’ve not read much at all about the history of the Jews, but agree deeply with #1 and #3. Here are some books about World War 2 that I read.
