I am today announcing that I am a prospective candidate in the Douglas South by-election to be a strong local voice for residents.
“People have encouraged me to stand because they’ve said that our community needs a strong voice in Tynwald. I will fight for local jobs, fight for local health services and be a strong voice for the people of Douglas South.”
“You’ll probably see me in coming weeks, months and years as I knock on doors, listening to what local residents say are the important issues for our community. I want to know what you think is important – let me know when you see me in your street, or feel free to phone call or text me anytime on 488557.”
“I pay tribute to the service of Kate Costain and Bill Malarkey. It is sad that they were unable to complete their terms of office, and I will work hard to follow in those giant footsteps. Both Kate and Bill dedicated many spirited years to Douglas South, and I salute their service to the people of Mann. The shadow cast by the legacy of Kate and Bill is a powerful reminder of why Douglas South needs a strong voice for a high-quality health service that is universally accessible.”
