This podcast with the outstanding movie critic, Sonny Bunch, talks about a few interesting issues:

  1. The economics of entertainment is now dominated by video games. Not only games where players pay a significant up-front fee to purchase the game, but the proliferation of various “free-to-play” games, especially on mobile devices.
  2. The cultural risk of authoritarian nations spreading cultural ideas through video games (and other forms of media). Their manipulation through both ownership and management of such entertainment creates a variety of risks in our community.

Well worth listening!
