Last weekend, the UK Armed Forces Netball team visited the Isle of Man. They played the Isle of Man Men’s Netball team, and also the Isle of Man Women’s Netball team as part of their on-going training and development.

It was fun to be able to play against our first “professional”1 team, and to assist in their training plans – but most of all, it was impressive to learn a little bit about the impressive women who serve our community. Speaking to women who serve as Information Security experts, Jet maintenance technicians and Ship2 medics was an excellent learning experience for me.

  1. Technically they are paid to play!
  2. Not boat, apparently!
