It’s time for action.

Old-style politicians merely talk about government accountability.

But I took action to discover the government was shredding important documents and that your rates were being wasted on losing court cases against workers.

Old-style politicians merely talk about mental health.

But I took action to become a Mental Health First Aider and help people in crisis.

Old-style politicians talk hot air about protecting the environment.

But during last week’s election meeting here in Douglas East, I was the one candidate, the one candidate, to oppose drilling for gas in Manx waters.

And my view is very, very clear: that we should not be drilling for gas off the coast of Laxey. The idea is ridiculous. The idea is absurd.

Old-style politicians merely talk about helping to address poverty.

But I take action by volunteering to deliver food to Manx families in need.

Old-style politicians merely talk about addressing obesity, and creating things for young ones to do.

But I take action by refereeing sport early on Sunday mornings.

Old-style politicians talk about caring for our nation’s heritage.

But I take action to keep the graves of our servicemen and women clean.

It’s now time for you to take action.

Come on down on Thursday to your local polling place, between 8am and 8pm.

If you’re not sure where to vote in Douglas East, send me a message right now.

It only takes a minute to cast your vote for all of us.

Just put a cross in the box where it says Michael Josem.

Many thoughtful people have said that they will be voting for the first time on Thursday between 8am and 8pm, because they know that in a small nation like ours, every single vote matters.

It is going to be a close election, so tell your friends and family to come along and vote too, for all of us.

On Thursday, you can take action by voting.

You can take action by voting to improve government accountability.

You can take action by voting to fix our housing market.

You can take action by voting to care for our nation’s heritage.

You can take action by voting to address the shadow pandemic of
mental health.

You can take action by voting to protect our environment.

You can take action by voting for all of us.
