Over the weekend, I wrote to the President of the Legislative Council, Laurence Skelly, asking him to investigate whether any Legislative Council candidates have made payment(s) or so-called “donations” to Members of the House of Keys.

With just ten days before wannabe-politicians seek appointment to the Legislative Council, I have reviewed the Tynwald website, and see no declaration of any such payments or so-called “donations”. I have listened to media interviews involving candidates for the Legislative Council, and heard no declaration of any such payments or so-called “donations”.

Why has there been no declaration on the Tynwald website, or in the local media, of any such payments or so-called “donations” from candidates?
