The first Manx causes have already submitted applications for the 2022 Co-op Local Community Fund. Already, multiple Manx causes have applied to receive a share of an estimated in £100,000 in funding from local Manx Coop members.

Key details for Local Community Fund

The successful groups will not-for-profit groups which will be supported to deliver a project to benefit our local community in at least one of these four areas:

  • brings people together to access food
  • helps improve people’s mental wellbeing
  • creates opportunities for young people to be heard and make a difference
  • helps people protect local biodiversity or tackle climate change by reducing carbon emissions

Three local causes will be selected from Douglas, Onchan and the South of the Isle of Man. Three further local causes will be selected from Peel, Crosby and the North of the Isle of Man.

Applications close on 29 May, 2022.
