The Manx Co-op is supporting Fairtrade Fortnight.

You can take part in the Fairtrade Trail through Douglas (stop in at our Duke Street store!) and you can win a hamper of goods, including lots of Fairtrade chocolate, coffee and other goodies from our Duke Street Co-op store.

In addition, come for a chat where I’ll be representing the Co-op at a pop-up Fairtrade Shop. The Isle of Man Fairtrade Group and the One World Centre will host a pop up Fairtrade shop in the former Churches Bookshop in Howard Street on Saturday, March 5, from 10am to 4pm.

Isle of Man newspapers reports further:

This year the Isle of Man Fairtrade Group and the One World Centre have organised a ’Fairtrade Trail’ through Douglas town centre.

The trail will link 15 different outlets and organisations who either sell or use Fairtrade items.

’Fairtrade’ refers to trade between companies in developed countries and producers in developing countries in which fair prices are paid to the producers.
