I’ve compiled and charted data provided by the Isle of Man Government to show the relative cost of heating over time on the Isle of Man. Not only does it allow you to see the relative cost of different options today, you can easily see how those prices have changed since 2004.

The below chart shows the cost per useful kilowatt hour for electric (across three tariffs: standard, comfy heat, and heat pumps) and gas.

Over the years, the various gas tariffs have changed names, and thus, I have used the Natural Gas rate from May 2004 to Feb 2013, the All Island rate from Feb 2013 to Dec 2015, Band A from Dec 2015 to Dec 2019, and now the All Island Tariff from Dec 2019 onwards.
