The Co-op has donated heaps of tea and coffee to Stauros - drop them a message if you'd like a cuppa!

Several years ago, the Isle of Man Government published a report claiming that “substance misuse contributes to significant health, social and economic costs to our community including illness, injury, crime, violence, anti-social behaviour, and family and relationship breakdown.”

Last week, as a Co-op Member Pioneer for the Isle of Man, I had the great opportunity to speak with two grassroots charities who help to combat such challenges: Motiv8 and Stauros.

Stauros works closely with the Graih charity for the homeless, and this week, Stauros are hosting their annual community rally to share testimonies of overcoming addiction. The event will be held at Broadway Baptist Church in Douglas on Wednesday 21 September at 7:30pm.

If you – or someone close to you – would like to speak to someone about issues of addiction over a cup of tea or coffee, then take the first step today.
