The politicians in Tynwald are talking of changing the term “Crown Dependencies” to some other phrase.

I think the Isle of Man should consider this immediately after:
1) the Manx housing crisis is fixed;
2) Manx school students are performing better than their peers across these Isles;
3) waiting lists for medical treatment in the Isle of Man are shorter than elsewhere in these Isles; and
4) all the potholes in the Isle of Man are filled.

But we should not spend a single minute worrying about the name “Crown Dependencies” before those four things have been achieved.
