James Corbett QC has announced his appointment to the panel of Deemsters of the Isle of Man.
Corbett was called to the English Bar in 1975, and been Queen’s Counsel since 1999. He has experience working in various island jurisdictions, including the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Gibraltar and the Channel Islands.
In a short statement, Corbett announced that he looks “forward to engaging with the Manx legal community.”
In particular, he is recognised as a expert in disputes in the financial services and high-tech industries, and has been a strong advocate of protecting the jury system.
